Prophetic Word: Wanna-Be-Queens in the House of God

“Be an Esther!”
“For such a time as this!”

How often do we hear such words in the prophetic these days? The Holy Spirit had me grieve for the women of God today who want to be queens rather than lambs. He said that too many want the crown and reputation of Esther instead of silent servanthood. I want to tell you of a vision I have had last year. He reminded me of it today and I pray that this word will encourage you to let God examine your heart if it applies to you. My intention is not to tear down the prophetic words that have been released about Queen Esther but to ask you to look deep into your heart when it comes to the reason why you want to be like her.

In this vision I found myself in a throneroom. Everything was pure white and shining with light. I was standing at the edge of a long aisle. At the other end was a set of stairs which led up to the Throne of God. It was strange, however, because the throneroom was empty. I was waiting for God to appear when I suddenly realized that I was cloaked with a queenly robe and wearing a crown. The mantle I was wearing was purple (those in the prophetic know that this color symbolizes royalty). I then saw a round, golden orb appear on my left hand and a scepter in my right. (If you google “crown jewels of the United Kingdom”, you can see how an orb looks like). I then heard “for such a time as this” but it felt like it was an automatic response to the royal elements I saw and not from the Spirit.

I felt uncomfortable on the inside and I said “It’s not about me but about you, Jesus.” I started putting everything down on the aisle – I put down the orb, the scepter, the crown and the mantle. Then, finally, I was joined by a lamb! This lamb was standing in front of me. I knew it was Jesus. However, a man who looked like Jesus appeared at my side, too, wearing a kingly robe and a crown! For a moment I was confused. I saw him climbing up the stairs at the backside of the throneroom. He motioned me to come with him. I was alarmed, however, because it looked like he was standing in the shadow, opposite of where the Throne of God was. He kept going up the stairs, as if he wanted to rise up to the level of the throne. As soon as I saw that, it was evident to me that Satan was tempting me to follow him! I started trembling and fell low on the floor before the Lamb. I cried out to Him: “I want to be like You, Lamb of God! I shall decrease and You shall increase!” In that moment, the enemy disappeared. I felt such a relief and hugged the Lamb around His neck. I was crying and laughing at the same time because I knew I had stood the test. I then saw an enormous number of saints rush into the throneroom from all sides, cheering and applauding! I realized that they had been watching the whole time! I smiled and stood up as angels came with a new set of clothes for me. They gave me a simple, white dress, beautifully light, and a crown of flowers from the field.

The question I want to ask you is this: Why do you want to be like Esther? Do you want to be known, recognized and remembered?

“For he grew up before him like a young plant,
and like a root out of dry ground;
he had no form or majesty that we should look at him,
and no beauty that we should desire him.
He was despised and rejected by men,
a man of sorrows and acquainted with grief;
and as one from whom men hide their faces
he was despised, and we esteemed him not.

He was oppressed, and he was afflicted,
yet he opened not his mouth;
like a lamb that is led to the slaughter,
and like a sheep that before its shearers is silent,
so he opened not his mouth.

(Isaiah 53:2-3,7 ESV)
