Today I want to share two worship songs with you. God put the first song on my heart as I was waiting at the airport for transfer two months ago. The second one is Psalm 113. I’ll just let the lyrics of these two songs minister to you! I pray that they will touch your heart as much as they have touched mine during a time of transition. God knows your heart and He is giving you the best: Himself.
All I once held dear, built my life upon
All this world reveres and wants to own
All I once thought gain, I have counted loss
Spent and worthless now, compared to thisKnowing You, Jesus, knowing You
There is no greater thing
You’re my all, You’re the best
You’re my joy, my righteousness
And I love You, LordNow my heart’s desire is to know You more
To be found in You and known as Yours
To possess by faith what I could not earn
All-surpassing gift of righteousnessKnowing You, Jesus, knowing You
There is no greater thing
You’re my all, You’re the best
You’re my joy, my righteousness
And I love You, LordOh to know the power of Your risen life
And to know You in Your sufferings
To become like You in Your death, my Lord
So with You to live and never dieKnowing You, Jesus, knowing You
There is no greater thing
You’re my all, You’re the best
You’re my joy, my righteousness
And I love You, LordKnowing You, Jesus, knowing You
There is no greater thing
You’re my all, You’re the best
You’re my joy, my righteousness
You’re my all, You’re the best
You’re my joy, my righteousness
You’re my all, You’re the best
You’re my joy, my righteousness
And I love You, LordI love You, Lord
Graham Kendrick, “Knowing You”
——
Praise the Lord!
Praise, O servants of the Lord,
praise the name of the Lord!Blessed be the name of the Lord
from this time forth and forevermore!
From the rising of the sun to its setting,
the name of the Lord is to be praised! The Lord is high above all nations,
and his glory above the heavens!Who is like the Lord our God,
Psalm 113 ESV
who is seated on high,
who looks far down
on the heavens and the earth?
He raises the poor from the dust
and lifts the needy from the ash heap,
to make them sit with princes,
with the princes of his people.
He gives the barren woman a home,
making her the joyous mother of children.
Praise the Lord!
