It takes time for faith to grow. Some things just are not made right until we believe. Sometimes we have to go through a season of intense endurance to finally prove that faith. Without patience, it does not work.
Recently I had a brief moment with the Lord. I was lying down on a bench on a mountaintop – that is where we usually meet. I was just enjoying the breeze and the sun. I waited for Him to speak because His words always comfort me.
It was that simple. He had promised me something and I would be blessed when I believed (Luke 1:45). He was reminding me that I needed to remain patient. If I really trusted Him, I would wait. That is, I would rest in His love, enjoying every day with thanksgiving, staying close to Him and always keeping an eye out for His ways to speak. If so, I would know when the moment comes. I would recognize His voice. I would know that it was God.
My friend, I bless your faith in this hour. I pray that you will let go of any striving. I pray that no matter how often you feel let down by God, that somehow your heart would be protected by Him. For the Holy Spirit is the one who works faith in us. It means everything to Him when we love Him patiently like Jesus did.
To close this up, I want to share some elementary verses about faith from the book of Romans. God bless you, my brave sister and brother in Christ! You are almost there!
“But now God has shown us a way to be made right with him without keeping the requirements of the law, as was promised in the writings of Moses and the prophets long ago. We are made right with God by placing our faith in Jesus Christ. And this is true for everyone who believes, no matter who we are. For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard. Yet God, in his grace, freely makes us right in his sight. He did this through Christ Jesus when he freed us from the penalty for our sins. For God presented Jesus as the sacrifice for sin. People are made right with God when they believe that Jesus sacrificed his life, shedding his blood. This sacrifice shows that God was being fair when he held back and did not punish those who sinned in times past, for he was looking ahead and including them in what he would do in this present time. God did this to demonstrate his righteousness, for he himself is fair and just, and he makes sinners right in his sight when they believe in Jesus. Can we boast, then, that we have done anything to be accepted by God? No, because our acquittal is not based on obeying the law. It is based on faith. So we are made right with God through faith and not by obeying the law.” (Romans 3:21-28 NLT)
we lift up your name as a banner over the world right now. You are worthy to be praised. You reign. The blood you shed on the cross speaks louder than the hatred of men in this hour. You have shown us the love of the Father. We repent of mercilessness in this world and ask that you give us another chance to make your love and mercy abound. May the people of God shine ever brightly as they choose to forgive and bless and they shall be proven your children of light. They shall stand the test in this hour.
Lord, you were raised from the dead and you have defeated the sting of death once and for all. The grave is empty and so shall the many graves the enemy has prepared long before this war has started. Let them be used against him like Haman was hung on the pole he himself had prepared for the Israelites in the time of Esther.
O Lord, please turn the counsel of Ahithophel (“the brother of folly”) into foolishness. Let the Ahithophels who have partnered with evil watch their counsel turned into foolishness like you did in the time of David. Place the Hushais (“Lord, hurry”) close to the Ahithophels to defeat their counsel. Hide them, Father, and let your voice thunder and cause panic in the enemy’s camp at this hour. We declare confusion in their communication channels in the mighty name of Jesus!
We declare Psalm 36 over the nations that your steadfast love continues to those who know you and your righteousness to the upright of heart. “The children of mankind take refuge in the shadow of your wings.” “Your righteousness is like the mountains of God; your judgments are like the great deep; man and beast you save, O LORD.” The arrogant and proud are thrust down, unable to rise!
O Lord, let the spirit of repentance come over all the nations so that all transgressions are forgiven and new ways prepared for your coming. Come, Lord Jesus! Bring into order all that is lying in chaos, Abba, let us live and praise your name all our days. Great is your faithfulness! Your love endures forever!
Amen. Hallelujah. Worthy to be praised. Forever seated on the throne. We give all glory and honor and power to you. We surrender to you, Lord.
When the Philistines captured the ark of God, they brought it from Ebenezer to Ashdod. Then the Philistines took the ark of God and brought it into the house of Dagon and set it up beside Dagon. And when the people of Ashdod rose early the next day, behold, Dagon had fallen face downward on the ground before the ark of the Lord. So they took Dagon and put him back in his place. But when they rose early on the next morning, behold, Dagon had fallen face downward on the ground before the ark of the Lord, and the head of Dagon and both his hands were lying cut off on the threshold. Only the trunk of Dagon was left to him. This is why the priests of Dagon and all who enter the house of Dagon do not tread on the threshold of Dagon in Ashdod to this day.
1 Samuel 5:1-5 ESV
Sometimes our pride and fears drive us to rush ahead of God. We fail to wait and become unwise in managing the revelation we have received from God. “He is too slow,” we might say, “He is not coming through.” Can we deny these thoughts? All in all, we are doing it for God and He is just not responding the way we would have Him.
This morning I hear the Lord say to His people that it is enough! He can take care of Himself and nothing we do, no matter how noble the cause, will push Him into a box. He is God, the Creator of the universe. Let the whole world know and bow before Him! Lift up His name and get ready to be in awe of the grand schemes of Jahweh!
Dagon is no match to Him. Dagon is believed to be the father of Baal but what if he is the idol of idols? His head shall be cut off and so his hands! The fear of God shall set mightily on all who serve them!
Lift us His name! Drench your days and nights with worship and proclaim that in His time, what needs to fall will fall and what needs to be raised will be raised. Tremble before the Lord and learn to truly cherish the revelation He has given you. Learn to manage wisely with love and self-discipline. I feel this fire, this roar inside of me this morning that even if His own house and His own people fail to honor and treasure His thoughts properly, He will show Himself holy to the world. He will make the proud fall.
I hear the Lord say to the West: Many are the cries of the afflicted. Great are the sins of the proud. Many years I have waited but have found no one.
“Sing, barren woman, you who never bore a child; burst into song, shout for joy, you who were never in labor; because more are the children of the desolate woman than of her who has a husband,” says the Lord.“Enlarge the place of your tent, stretch your tent curtains wide, do not hold back; lengthen your cords, strengthen your stakes. For you will spread out to the right and to the left; your descendants will dispossess nations and settle in their desolate cities.
I have brought this about for my name’s sake. The hour has come for the barren to bear fruits. I desire to taste them in your everyday lives! Where is the peace I have left with you? Where is the mercy I taught you to desire more than sacrifice? Since when did you consider yourself so highly as a leader of faith when I was angry with you? Did you not recognize how far you had drifted away from me? When will you revere me? Oh, but I say:
“Do not be afraid; you will not be put to shame. Do not fear disgrace; you will not be humiliated. You will forget the shame of your youth and remember no more the reproach of your widowhood. For your Maker is your husband— the Lord Almighty is his name— the Holy One of Israel is your Redeemer; he is called the God of all the earth. The Lord will call you back as if you were a wife deserted and distressed in spirit— a wife who married young, only to be rejected,” says your God.
Do not fear what is going to come. Do not fear my reproach. For there is a debt you have to pay to those around you but hear me when I say I already paid the full price for you to return to me! There is nothing that stands between you and me, I have washed you clean! Return to me, my bride! Return to me! You will be healed when you revere my name!
“For a brief moment I abandoned you, but with deep compassion I will bring you back.In a surge of anger I hid my face from you for a moment, but with everlasting kindness I will have compassion on you,” says the Lord your Redeemer. “To me this is like the days of Noah, when I swore that the waters of Noah would never again cover the earth. So now I have sworn not to be angry with you, never to rebuke you again. Though the mountains be shaken and the hills be removed, yet my unfailing love for you will not be shaken nor my covenant of peace be removed,” says the Lord, who has compassion on you.
Remember my covenant of peace with you. Remember what price I have paid for you so that you can be with me. I am neither resentful nor bitter when I say this to you. I am God. I just want you back. I want you to love me with everything you are. Pay the price of love to everyone around you, show me that you want to return to me: love one another as I have loved you. You have all you need- you have me, I am all you need.
“But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.”
1 Peter 2:9 NIV
“The Lord said to Moses: “Give Aaron and his sons this command: ‘These are the regulations for the burnt offering: The burnt offering is to remain on the altar hearth throughout the night, till morning, and the fire must be kept burning on the altar. … The fire on the altar must be kept burning; it must not go out.‘ …”
Leviticus 6:8,12a NIV
Sometimes you just got to keep the fire burning! This is my word of encouragement for you this morning. No matter how intense the torment has been during the night, you keep that fire burning the first thing in the morning:
“… the fire on the altar must be kept burning; it must not go out. Every morning the priest is to add firewood and arrange the burnt offering on the fire and burn the fat of the fellowship offerings on it. The fire must be kept burning on the altar continuously; it must not go out.” (Leviticus 6:12-13)
See? We as God’s chosen, royal priests are to add firewood every morning and burn the fat of the fellowship offerings on the fire. Now firewood also symbolizes a person (Isaiah 7:4) and fellowship offerings were mainly made to rejoice in the presence and fellowship of God and to give thanks to Him (Deuteronomy 27:7; Leviticus 7:12-16). We come to give thanks and to rejoice in His presence and forgiveness each morning. This is how we keep the fire burning. This is how we keep our hearts from going astray.
What is amazing to me is that the fire which is described in the passages above was lit by God Himself! Read this:
“Moses and Aaron then went into the tent of meeting. When they came out, they blessed the people; and the glory of the Lord appeared to all the people. Fire came out from the presence of the Lord and consumed the burnt offering and the fat portions on the altar. And when all the people saw it, they shouted for joy and fell facedown.”
Leviticus 9:23-24 NIV
You are to steward the gift He has given you: the very fire of His presence which was ignited in you to burn up the idols in your heart and to light up the darkness inside of your spirit-mind! So let us diligently seek the Lord even today and continue day after day, fellow priests of the Most High! Our flesh does not have the power to prevail but it is the power of the Spirit of God which enables us to overcome. Jesus has made us overcomers (1. John 5:4). So just keep that fire burning!
I prophesy over you a fresh fire of His presence according to the kindness and mercy of God! I prophesy divine revelation on the importance of His fire in everything you do in sacrifice for Him! Come to Him in praise! Come to Him in thanksgiving and be healed in Jesus’ name!
