Are You Struggling With Lust?

Lust is nasty. You are blessed when you are born less greedy and lustful. If your will is strong enough to restrain the strong craving inside of you, you are blessed, too. Now you may think, ‘then I’m lost because I’ve been trying to fight this lust in me for so long and I can’t. It controls me.’ Well, let me first assure you that you are already on the winning side if you are fighting! For many people’s hearts have been hardened by unbelief, and they accept the false teachings of this world (consensual premarital sex, homosexual intercourse, “good” pornography, masturbating, etc. are OK or even good for you) because of fear and hopelessness and, frankly, to please their flesh; does this sound harsh to you? That means your heart is still hard. Don’t you ever settle for less than complete freedom! May the Spirit of God open your eyes to see and understand! I pray for conviction and godly sorrow that leads to repentance and freedom (2. Corinthians 7:10), not condemnation, in Jesus’ name!

I’m not looking down on you or reproaching you from afar. God never does, He loves you very personally. He is close to you and He is always willing to help. His love is gentle, kind and patient. He loves you and does not look at you in a condescending way. You may feel left alone, but please believe that He is close to you and wants to help you. He would, if you would only let Him! He does it His way, yes, but He surely comes to rescue you. Oh, but that’s the tough part, too, right? That He helps you His way? Believe me, I speak out of experience! I have struggled with my own lustful desires for a large part of my life and I know the silent battle. I would not speak all this truth to you if it was not out of love! I mean, look at me now! Hear my testimonies, how they abound of God’s great love! There is hope, people of God! There is so much hope in the redemptive power of Christ, in the blood that cleanses us from all sin and we can do nothing without His Spirit. It is His Spirit that enables us to live as conquerors, not victims.

Even if you do not feel like a conqueror right now, I want to speak to your most holy faith to believe. God will heal you and help you break out of that cycle. And if you’re chosen for greater faith, He will lead you into tearing down all the high places – the false refuges you rely on – and help you fight till bloodshed against the lust in you. How do you fight? By relentlessly looking ONLY at God. This is the only way: look away from you and look at Christ, look at that beautiful man, our Savior! That one other human (the “one”) cannot save you! That relationship, that marriage will not save you. That sex, that part which arouses you when you watch pornography and masturbate, that part is not going to give you peace. You are not going to rest when you finally have that (and you most probably want that because something is gravely lacking in you. But only God can fill that void). When you believe in God’s love and redemption, that is when your heart will finally, truly rest (Hebrews 3:7-11).

Finally, I want to tell you something that may upset you even further: you, among all the people, are the most blessed! ‘Wait- what? Yes, YOU are the most blessed. For in your weakness, the Lord is strong; there is so much room for God to be Him in you, and what a blessing this is (2. Corinthians 12)! Because of this, there is so much hope! Let us examine this matter further over the next few weeks. May the Lord bless you, my dear brother and sister in Christ, and may He be gracious to you. May He open up the eyes of your heart to realize how much He loves you and desires to be with you! You are so loved, my friend! Stay tuned for breakthrough! Amen!

LOVERS OF GOD 4. “The Known” (On 2. Timothy 3)

(Sorry it took me a long time to post, guys! I was admitted to the hospital two weeks ago due to an emergency situation and needed time to rest and recover. I’m doing good by God’s grace and held by Him. He loves me deeply and I know He loves you the same. And because He first loved us, we can return His love to Him and others❤ May this teaching bless you!)

Here it comes:

Do you know that you are fully known by God? He created you and He knows you.

There is a difference, though, to be fully known by a God who IS the very definition of love (1. John 4:16). Let us read about His following characteristics and keep in mind that we are fully known by Him.

“Love is patient,
love is kind.
It does not envy,
it does not boast,
it is not proud.
It does not dishonor others,
it is not self-seeking,
it is not easily angered,
it keeps no record of wrongs.
Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.
It always protects,
always trusts,
always hopes,
always perseveres …

now we see only a reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.”

1. Corinthians 13:4-7, 12 NIV

Do you realize how God treats you? How therefore we should treat others? Do we not all need a revelation of this kind of love in our lives so that we can love others as He has loved us first? I pray that the eyes of your heart will be opened to see the vast measure of God’s love for you and the family of Christ!

Stay in His love! Be still before Him. Abide in Him and remain in His presence as much as you can. For otherwise, it is easy for the enemy to tempt us to love God less than we do now! No, let us love Him more and more. Let us pursue Him more and more.

When you don’t let the Word of God teach, rebuke, correct and train you in righteousness, you will resemble the people of the last days who will: love themselves and money more than God; be boastful, proud, abusive towards Him; be disobedient, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal; hate the good, be treacherous, rash, conceited, and love pleasure rather than God. (2. Timothy 3:2-4)

No, those who love God are patient with Him and kind to Him. They are not proud before Him or dishonor Him. They are not self-seeking and easily angered by Him; they don’t hold a grudge against Him. They rejoice with Him and mourn with Him. They always protect, always trust, always hope and always persevere.

They know Him as they are known by Him.
